The BuyBuddy toolbar adds a unique twist to shopping on the Web. As you browse the Web or browse on Amazon.com's website, the BuyBuddy toolbar can locate products on those pages that are offered through Amazon and 'tag' them. When you purchase these tagged products, the BuyBuddy toolbar will automatically select one of your buddies to associate with that purchase. Through the Amazon Associates program, a portion of the purchase price will be deposited by Amazon into your buddy's Amazon Associates account.

If you don't have any friends, you can always enter a list of charities or non-profit organizations that participate in the Amazon Associates program.

The BuyBuddy toolbar is a very small (about 22KB) downloadable extension to the Firefox web browser and shows up as a button on the standard Firefox toolbar. The BuyBuddy toolbar can be turned off and on by simply clicking the toolbar button.

Firefox will automatically check for new versions of BuyBuddy once a day, but does not automatically download new versions - so periodically check your extensions for new versions via the "Tools | Extensions..." menu in Firefox.
